Polyphia is a primarily instrumental progressive rock band from Plano, Texas. By interweaving technical, virtuosic guitar instrumentations with production and grooves influenced by hip-hop, jazz, and R&B, Polyphia has created a truly unique and original sound. Ibanez has worked closely with Tim Henson, one half of the dynamic guitar duo Polyphia, for many years, to jointly develop the signature model TOD. This guitar is heavily inspired by the Ibanez AZ model and also features some of Tim's personal touches that fit perfectly with his versatile playing style. Perhaps the most striking aesthetic feature of the TOD is the fingerboard inlay design that Tim calls "Tree of Death." Both the name and design are reminiscent of Ibanez's iconic "Tree of Life" inlay design, but with a twist.
